Job Schedule: 9/80 - Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.

Job Description:

The Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support through the entire product lifecycle including system design, development, integration and test, field deployment, and operator training. Some travel required to support domestic customer demonstrations and integration efforts.

Essential Functions:

  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
  • Review and evaluate documents to ensure design details trace to system requirements
  • Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning
  • Develop system/subsystem test procedures
  • Integrate and test complex systems in both SIL and aircraft environments
  • Understand physical architecture incorporating COMMS Systems capabilities across multiple security domains
  • Perform test, verification, validation of system requirements
  • System maintenance, sustainment, and obsolescence mitigation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • OR Master’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • OR in lieu of a degree a minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Understand physical architecture incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
  • Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning
  • Be able to write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with full MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and reviewing aircraft drawings and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience with testing, integrating, and verifying networks.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting verification testing.
