Job description

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.

Requirements

  • Experiencing conducting system level and/or subsystem level testing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours, off-shifts, and weekends as required

Desired Skills

  • Current LM Certified Test Conductor (CTC) certification or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with Automation Framework
  • Engineering expertise in test disciplines, particularly error prevention, safety, controls logic, data acquisition, and insturmentation
  • Experience integrating lab, ground, or flight hardware systems; or supporting flight tests for missile, spacecraft, aircraft, or launch vehicles
  • Familiarity with COTS equipment integration, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Knowledge of current Test and Measurement Equipment (T&ME) and test best practices
  • Experience testing/integrating shipboard systems
  • Ability to excell in fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with occasional travel

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
