Job description

This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks that implement security-driven configuration changes across Windows servers, workstations, and Active Directory infrastructure. The engineer will translate security intent into repeatable automated tasks that can be deployed safely at scale, partnering closely with cybersecurity and platform teams to operationalize advisories and ensure changes align with enterprise standards., * Automate GPO creation, modification, and rollback

  • Automate Windows and application patch deployment
  • Create AD-safe configuration enforcement workflows
  • Build guardrails that prevent unsafe or partial deployments
  • Rapidly convert CVE guidance into deployable updates
  • Support mitigation scenarios with pre-approved automation

Requirements

  • Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills
  • Deep understanding of Group Policy internals and management tools
  • Experience with Windows Server and Windows client internals
  • Knowledge of Active Directory schema, security descriptors, and replication behavior
  • Experience with configuration management tools (SCCM or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control and code reviews
  • Experience with GPO administration using Quest GP Admin

Desired skills:

  • Automated systems validation testing experience
