Job description

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building and optimising the infrastructure that connects our trading systems directly to global financial markets. What you’ll be doing

  1. Designing and developing low-latency C++ systems for electronic trading
  2. Building and maintaining exchange connectivity and market access infrastructure
  3. Working with exchange protocols, binary feeds and order-entry gateways
  4. Optimising networking, latency, throughput and system performance
  5. Troubleshooting complex production issues across the trading stack
  6. Working closely with traders, quantitative researchers and infrastructure engineers
  7. Integrating with major exchanges and liquidity venues globally

Requirements

  1. Strong modern C++ engineering experience
  2. Proven experience in market access, exchange connectivity or electronic trading
  3. Deep understanding of exchange protocols and order-book mechanics
  4. Experience with FIX, binary protocols and/or proprietary exchange APIs
  5. Strong knowledge of Linux, networking and systems programming
  6. Understanding of low-latency techniques, performance optimisation and concurrency
  7. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  8. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly performance-sensitive environment

Particularly valuable

Experience with kernel/network optimisation, NICs, multicast, TCP/UDP, packet processing, FPGA acceleration or colocation environments would be highly advantageous.
