Job description

We are working with a well-respected defence prime looking for talented FPGA Design Engineers to join a range of complex technology projects across defence, aerospace and other high-reliability applications. You’ll be involved across the full FPGA development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to design, verification, integration and validation. You’ll work closely with wider multidisciplinary engineering teams and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced, high-performance systems using modern FPGA technologies.

Requirements

Ideally, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, with experience across a number of the following:

  • FPGA design and development using VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Developing FPGA architectures and implementing complex digital designs
  • FPGA verification, simulation and testbench development
  • Experience with FPGA development and verification tools
  • Working with Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microchip or similar FPGA technologies
  • C or embedded software development for FPGA test and system integration
  • Working across the full FPGA design lifecycle, from requirements through to validated hardware
  • Producing clear technical documentation and working to a high engineering standard
  • Experience working within defence, aerospace, communications or other safety/high-reliability environments would be advantageous
