Senior LNG Developer | C#/.NET | AWS | Energy Trading | London

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior software engineer who enjoys balancing hands-on development with technical leadership. You’ll play a key role in shaping and modernising technology that supports a high-performing global LNG trading business, delivering complex platform enhancements and driving engineering excellence across a business-critical environment.

Working closely with Product, Architecture and Business stakeholders, you’ll influence future technology direction, improve platform resilience and performance, and help establish best practice engineering standards across the team.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the design and delivery of complex enhancements across LNG trading technology platforms.
• Driving improvements in software quality, resilience, automation and operational performance.
• Taking technical ownership from solution design through to deployment and production support.
• Investigating and resolving complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
• Working closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate commercial requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentoring and coaching engineers through code reviews, technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Contributing to architecture decisions, platform strategy and technology modernisation initiatives.

Senior LNG Engineer, C#, .NET, AWS, LNG Trading, Energy Trading, Commodities Trading, Endur, EOS, ETRM, CTRM, API Development, Distributed Systems, Cloud Native, DevOps, CI/CD, SQL, Trading Technology, Software Architect, Technical Lead., Applicants should have strong experience in:

• C#/.NET development within large-scale enterprise environments.
• API development, systems integration and distributed applications.
• Software architecture, scalability, resilience and security best practices.
• AWS and/or Azure cloud technologies.
• SQL, data analysis, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and modern DevOps practices.
• Leading complex technical initiatives within business-critical platforms.
• Stakeholder management and mentoring of development teams.

Highly Desirable

• Energy trading, LNG, commodities or wider trading platform experience.
• Exposure to ETRM/CTRM platforms such as Endur, EOS or similar.
• Knowledge of scheduling, logistics, cargo management, valuation or settlements processes.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code. [
