SAP HCM Payroll Functional Consultant - 12 month contract - remote with occasional travel in the UK ESSENTIAL SKILLS Strong hands-on experience configuring SAP HCM Payroll within complex enterprise environmentsStrong experience designing and configuring SAP Payroll Wage Types, including complex company-specific and statutory payment scenariosProven experience with SAP Payroll Schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), payroll calculations, and associated configurationStrong SAP Payroll experience across ECC6 and/or S/4HANA environmentsProven ability to translate complex HR, Payroll, policy, and legislative requirements into robust SAP Payroll functional designs and configurationStrong UK Payroll knowledge including HMRC requirements, statutory payments, and associated reporting obligationsExperience designing Payroll solutions that correctly separate, calculate, and account for statutory and company-specific paymentsExperience integrating SAP Payroll with Finance, accounting, payslip

and downstream enterprise systemsProven experience delivering complex SAP Payroll change projects through design, configuration, testing, implementation, and validationStrong technical-functional capability with the ability to review and peer review SAP Payroll configuration delivered by other consultants SAP HCM Payroll Functional Consultant DESIRED SKILLS Experience working within large-scale, complex SAP Payroll environments supporting significant employee populationsExperience with SAP S/4HANA Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central PayrollStrong understanding of Payroll posting to Finance and associated reconciliation processesExperience configuring payslips, remuneration statements, and Payroll outputsExperience working with offshore or distributed SAP delivery teamsExposure to wider SAP HCM and SuccessFactors environmentsExperience supporting Payroll transformation, optimisation, or major policy change programmesStrong functional design, solution documentation, testing, and stakeholder management experience SAP HCM Payroll Functional Consultant OVERVIEW Our client is seeking an experienced SAP HCM Payroll Functional Consultant to support the design and delivery of complex SAP Payroll changes within a large enterprise environment. This is a genuinely hands-on SAP Payroll position, requiring someone who can take complex business, policy, and legislative requirements and determine how these should be engineered and configured within SAP Payroll. Working across ECC6 and/or S/4HANA, the successful consultant will design complex Wage Type configurations, Payroll Schemas, PCRs, statutory and company-specific calculations, Finance integrations, payslip outputs, and associated Payroll functionality. The consultant will also review and challenge configuration delivered by other SAP specialists, ensuring solutions are robust, compliant, scalable, and correctly designed. This role requires considerably more than Business Analysis or requirements gathering. We are specifically looking for someone who has personally delivered complex SAP Payroll configuration and change projects and remains comfortable working hands-on within the solution.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SAP Payroll Functional Consultant to work on complex Payroll solution design and configuration within a business-critical SAP environment.
