Senior Data Scientist

We need a hands-on Contract Senior Data Scientist to design, build, and ML models that drive commercial performance. You will take ownership of the full life cycle: framing problems, building models, and deploying them reliably into production.

This assignment requires an expert Data Science practitioner who can take complex business problems through the full life cycle independently: framing the problem, exploring data structures, building/validating models, and ensuring reliable production deployment. You will collaborate closely with product, commercial, and engineering teams to deliver robust, outcomes-focused solutions.

Key Deliverables

• Ship ML Models: End-to-end delivery focusing on pricing, personalisation, forecasting, or user experience.
• Production & MLOps: Deploy models and set up monitoring, alerting, drift detection, and retraining cadences.
• Technical Quality: Set a high bar for code quality, testing, and model documentation while advising cross-functional teams.

• Tech Stack: Advanced Python, SQL, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and XGBoost/LightGBM.
• ML Experience: Proven end-to-end delivery of live production models, including MLOps.
• Domains: Experience in 2+ areas: forecasting, segmentation, recommenders, ranking, or behavioural modelling.
• Soft Skills: Ability to translate complex technical metrics into clear business value for stakeholders.
• Desirable: Travel/marketplace sector experience; Azure ML/Microsoft Fabric; LLMs/GenAI in production.
