Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to help design, administer, secure, and continuously improve our core infrastructure and technology platforms.
This role serves as a senior technical resource within IT Operations and plays a key part in ensuring business-critical systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and recoverable. The Systems Engineer will help lead infrastructure modernization, strengthen disaster recovery readiness, reduce technical debt, and establish operational standards that support long-term business growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and support infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, identity services, and Microsoft 365 services
- Administer virtualization platforms, storage systems, and server hardware
- Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, performance, availability, and security
- Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, best practices, and operational procedures
- Manage backup systems, recovery solutions, and disaster recovery testing
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, modernization projects, and technical improvements
- Support vulnerability management, patching, identity/access initiatives, and security audits
- Create and maintain system diagrams, infrastructure documentation, and configuration records
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex infrastructure issues and major incidents
- Participate in on-call support and after-hours maintenance as required

- Core infrastructure is stable, secure, documented, and proactively maintained
- Disaster recovery and backup processes are tested, reliable, and clearly documented
- Infrastructure projects are planned and executed with strong technical ownership
- Technical debt is reduced through thoughtful modernization and standardization
- IT teams have the documentation and support needed to resolve issues efficiently
- Business-critical systems remain resilient and aligned with company growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of Systems Administration or Systems Engineering experience
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft server environments
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
- Experience managing virtualization platforms and server infrastructure
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience managing technical projects and infrastructure upgrades
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications, such as Azure, Microsoft 365, or Windows Server
- VMware or virtualization certifications
- Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting
- Experience supporting ERP or other business-critical application infrastructure
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and security best practices
