Job description
We’re seeking an exceptional Design Engineer to lead the evolution of our platform’s user experience, working directly in the codebase to design, prototype, and ship enterprise CRM and pipeline management workflows, data visualization, and our design system. This role is for someone who doesn’t hand off mockups and wait - you sketch ideas in code, test them against real data, and iterate until they’re right. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact, growth-stage technology company in the pharmaceutical sector, where your work will directly influence how life-changing therapies reach patients faster., * Work fluidly in tools like Claude Code to prototype, test, and refine UI ideas directly against our production codebase - not just in Figma.
- Own the full loop from concept to shipped component: sketch an interaction, build a working version, validate it with real data and real users, and land it in the product.
- Move fluently between design tools and code, using whichever gets you to a real answer fastest.
Own Product Design End-to-End
- Own the design of complex enterprise deal making and pipeline management workflows, translating intricate business processes into intuitive, actionable experiences.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to define user flows, dashboards, and interfaces that support sales, BD, and operations teams.
- Advocate for users across the platform, ensuring seamless interactions for multi-stakeholder enterprise workflows.
Drive Data Visualization Excellence
- Design and build interactive, enterprise-grade dashboards and visualizations that communicate complex datasets clearly and effectively.
- Establish patterns, guidelines, and reusable components for scalable, maintainable data visualization experiences - and implement them yourself where it makes sense.
- Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to ship designs that are technically sound and visually compelling.
Maintain and Evolve the Design System
- Build and maintain design system components as living code, not just static specs.
- Introduce new components, patterns, and best practices that support rapid feature development across the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing enterprise CRM, pipeline management, and workflow design.
- Comfortable writing and shipping production-quality front-end code (React/TypeScript or similar), and using AI coding tools like Claude Code as a core part of your workflow.
- Expertise in data visualization, translating complex data into intuitive dashboards and interfaces.
- Strong experience with design systems, component libraries, and design tooling (Figma, Storybook, etc.), and the judgment to know when to prototype in code instead.
- Strong problem-solving skills, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints., * A track record of designing by building - you’d rather stand up a working prototype than debate a static mock.
- Exceptional visual design sensibility, especially for complex, data-driven interfaces.
- Ability to simplify highly technical information into clear, intuitive experiences.
- Comfortable leading initiatives independently while collaborating across teams.
- Strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with tactical execution.
- Passion for healthcare, science, and products that make a real-world impact.
Bonus Points
- Experience designing enterprise SaaS CRM or pipeline tools for sales, business development, or licensing workflows.
- Familiarity with biopharma, life sciences, or healthcare platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-powered dashboards or advanced analytics products.
