Job description

  • Develop, document, and execute manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
  • Test healthcare payer applications and validate claims-related functionality and data.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data, identify discrepancies, and confirm expected results.
  • Validate claims and system data against defined business rules and requirements.
  • Perform backend/database testing and data validation across healthcare applications.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and clearly document and communicate findings.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA team members to troubleshoot issues.
  • Participate in defect management, regression testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing.
  • Ensure claims processing and related data meet business and quality requirements.
  • Support ongoing QA initiatives and future data-platform projects, including potential Snowflake initiatives.

Requirements

Our client is seeking an experienced Manual QA Tester with strong healthcare payer, claims, Facets, and SQL experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of healthcare claims processing and the ability to validate backend data using SQL queries.

This role will focus on testing healthcare applications and claims-related functionality, validating data against business requirements and rules, and identifying and clearly communicating defects. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with backend data, writing and executing SQL queries, developing and executing test cases, and collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure accurate and high-quality results.

The role is well suited for a hands-on QA professional who understands the healthcare payer domain and can independently validate claims and Facets data. Experience with Snowflake is a plus, as the team anticipates increased Snowflake-related work in the future., * 3+ years of experience in Manual QA / Software Testing.

  • Strong experience within the healthcare payer/insurance industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Facets and healthcare claims data.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write and execute queries for data validation.
  • Experience performing backend/database testing and data validation.
  • Strong understanding of test case development, test execution, defect identification, and regression testing.
  • Ability to validate application results against business rules and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., * Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with healthcare claims processing, adjudication, eligibility, benefits, or membership data.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with QA/defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience with large-scale healthcare data validation or migration projects.

Benefits & conditions

Salary/Rate: $40-$60/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
