Job description

We are looking for a Senior Director, Revenue Systems to lead the strategy, architecture, engineering, and evolution of Salesforce and our broader revenue systems ecosystem. You will build and develop a high-performing team of Salesforce engineers, architects, administrators, and technical professionals while establishing the engineering practices and technical standards required to scale the function.

You will own the long-term strategy and architecture of Salesforce, balancing evolving business needs with scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability. You bring the technical credibility to challenge solution designs, navigate complex tradeoffs, and guide architectural decisions while partnering with business and technology leaders across AlphaSense.   • Set a high bar for technical judgment, engineering quality, delivery, and operational excellence
  • Build a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and speed while maintaining the discipline required to operate critical business infrastructure

Modernize how we build and operate Salesforce

  • Establish modern engineering and release practices, including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, environment management, and reliable deployment processes
  • Improve how the team plans, builds, releases, and supports the platform, using meaningful metrics to drive quality, reliability, and delivery
  • Establish standards for development, documentation, observability, and operational support

Set the platform strategy and roadmap

  • Own the long term strategy, architecture, roadmap, and health of Salesforce and the broader revenue systems ecosystem
  • Define how the platform should evolve as AlphaSense scales, balancing business needs with scalability, reliability, security, data quality, and technical debt
  • Establish clear priorities and partner with leadership to shape and communicate strategy, tradeoffs, capacity, risks, and investment needs across the business

Provide technical leadership

  • Serve as a senior technical leader and escalation point for complex platform, architecture, integration, and engineering challenges
  • Review and challenge solution designs and partner with architects and engineers on major technical decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned to architectural standards
  • Guide the right balance between configuration and custom development and stay current on Salesforce and emerging technology capabilities

Build trust through strong governance

  • Establish the governance, controls, and operating discipline required for Salesforce to serve as a trusted system of record
  • Strengthen change management, access controls, separation of duties, auditability, documentation, and data quality
  • Ensure the platform meets enterprise standards for security, reliability, compliance, and risk management

Shape how AI changes Revenue Systems

  • Lead the adoption of AI across Revenue Systems and Salesforce development, identifying opportunities to improve how the team builds, operates, and supports the platform
  • Scale practical AI use cases across development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, administration, and team productivity
  • Establish appropriate guardrails while encouraging experimentation and AI enabled ways of working

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience leading Salesforce transformation in a high growth or scaling organization
  • Experience in a pre IPO environment with evolving SOX and compliance requirements
  • Experience leading teams through M&A, major platform consolidation, or organizational transformation
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with modern data, AI, and enterprise technology ecosystems

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, systems engineering, platform engineering, or a related technical discipline, with significant experience in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • 5+ years leading Salesforce engineering, architecture, or administration teams, with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong technical talent
  • Proven ability to build and scale high performing teams and raise the bar on engineering quality, ownership, and delivery
  • Strong Salesforce platform knowledge across architecture, development, integrations, data, security, and automation, with the technical depth to engage meaningfully with engineers and architects
  • Experience establishing modern Salesforce development and release practices, including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, and environment management
  • Strong architectural judgment and the ability to balance business priorities with scalability, reliability, security, technical debt, and long term maintainability
  • Experience setting technology strategy and roadmaps across complex, cross functional business processes
  • A demonstrated track record of adopting AI to improve engineering, development, operations, or team productivity, with the curiosity and judgment to identify where AI can create meaningful impact
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders
  • A pragmatic, high ownership leadership style with a bias toward action, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes

You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program. Base Compensation Range $180,000-$225,000 USD
