Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, C#/.NET, and Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Create and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end user workflows across connected device platforms.
  • Validate device connectivity, firmware releases, and hardware-software interactions to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Perform testing of BLE-enabled and IoT devices, verifying communication reliability and integration with cloud services.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios for device provisioning, access management, connectivity, and security workflows.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Analyze defects, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive quality improvements within Agile delivery teams.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation SDET to design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions for smart device ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation using C#/.NET and Node.js/TypeScript, hands-on expertise with connected hardware products, and a proven ability to validate end-to-end workflows across web, API, mobile, cloud, firmware, and device integration layers. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure the quality, reliability, security, and performance of smart lock and IoT solutions., * Strong programming experience in C#/.NET and Node.js/TypeScript with a focus on test automation development.

  • Hands-on expertise with Playwright and Selenium automation frameworks and framework development from scratch.
  • Proven experience in web, API, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database validation, and test data management techniques.
  • Experience testing IoT, smart devices, connected hardware products, or embedded systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and hardware-software integration testing.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing smart locks, access control, or physical security products.
  • Knowledge of firmware validation and OTA (Over-the-Air) update testing.
  • Experience with IoT protocols such as MQTT, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave, and NFC.
  • Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Experience with performance, scalability, and security testing.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, firmware diagnostics, and hardware troubleshooting tools.

Benefits & conditions

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68,911 - $161,544.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
