Job description
- Assemble, install, maintain, and troubleshoot development platforms and datacenter server systems.
- Perform system assembly/disassembly and mechanical rework using laboratory tools.
- Support solder rework and preparation of circuit boards for detailed rework activities.
- Execute hardware validation and system testing procedures.
- Collect, document, and communicate test results to engineering teams.
- Support board screening, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Use oscilloscopes to capture signal waveforms for engineering analysis.
- Support hardware and software debugging in development and validation environments.
- Maintain an organized laboratory and improve lab efficiency and processes.
- Support shipping, receiving, inventory, and equipment tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to keep development systems operational.
Requirements
We are looking for a hands-on Hardware Lab Technician to support hardware development, validation, debugging, and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate should have experience working with electronics labs, board/system validation, Linux environments, and hardware troubleshooting., * Diploma, technical certification, Associate/Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in an electronics, engineering, validation, or testing laboratory.
- Experience with silicon bring-up, board validation, board design, or system validation/design.
- Fundamental understanding of computing architectures and hardware operation.
- Strong system-level debugging and troubleshooting experience.
- Familiarity with board bring-up activities.
- Hands-on experience with the Linux command line.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a laboratory environment.
- Must be available for the 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM Monday-Friday shift.
Preferred Skills
- Basic networking and datacenter/server maintenance experience.
- Basic solder rework skills.
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot board-level components.
- Experience with ARM and x86 architectures.
- Experience with GPU-accelerated computing environments.
- Experience supporting datacenter infrastructure and enterprise server platforms.
