What the Candidate Will Do As a Senior Software Engineer at Uber Freight, you will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend applications to improve Uber Freight’s Transportation Management Platform. • Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of professional software programming experience
• Strong programming experience in Java and Go (Golang)
• Strong experience in design and leading backend micro services, * Knowledge of data structure and algorithms and an ability to use them when implementing solutions.
• Experience handling complex problems at scale.
• Strong experience with SQL, Oracle, and JDBC
• Experience with Python, Spring Boot Go frameworks
• Experience with distributed systems and micro services architecture
• Strong understanding of system design, performance, and reliability
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or OCI)
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams
• Knowledge of the logistics, transportation, or freight industry is a plus
