Job description

The person in this position works with the Program Director and Program Manager to assure the efficient functioning of the organization and delivery of programs and services. This position is approximately 20 hours per week and is fully in-person. Hourly pay rate is between $16 to $17/hour to start depending on experience, with possible raises within the first 6 months and 1 year mark (raise(s) is dependant upon performance)., 1. Support logistical details for setting up workshops and trainings.

  1. Assist Program Manager in promotion of training opportunities and other services, including flyer distribution.
  2. Assist Program Manager to assure registration for workshops and trainings are complete and accurate. Communicate with participants prior to training.
  3. Assist Program Manager to assure supplies, materials and logistics are prepared for trainings and workshops.
  4. Enter program details to assist in reporting and evaluation.
  5. Support social media posts to improve algorithms. Maintain databases & manage group emails.
  6. Regularly participate in staff meetings.
  7. Carry out other activities, as they become necessary to the successful completion of the specific responsibilities listed above, and of other staff and Board.
  8. Help to coordinate workshops; including but not limited to: managing enrollment & assisting participants with technical issues.
  9. Ensure supplies, materials and logistics are prepared for trainings/workshops. In some cases, assist in physical set-up of training space.

Requirements

  1. Social Media Savvy
  2. Basic computer skills, with ability to learn new programs. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
  3. Comfort working with online tools including Canva, TicketLeap and Survey Monkey.
  4. Ability to lift at least 30 pounds for transport of training materials (a must have).
  5. Normal sight and hearing with or without correction.
  6. Reliable personal transportation.
  7. Excellent organizational skills with attention to details and schedules.
  8. Ability to prioritize tasks, be flexible, and work with little supervision.
  9. Ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with others.
  10. Good oral and written communication skills.
  11. Basic clerical skills.
  12. Promptness and dependability.
  13. Skill and comfort in working with other staff and volunteers on the Partners in Prevention team to accomplish the organization’s mission.
  14. Interest in helping to accomplish the mission of the organization.
  15. Availability for flexible work schedule that may include evenings or weekends.
