Job description

Signal Vine, LLC is an exciting early-stage company with customers and revenue which is growing quickly and looking for our next technical hire. We are building an incredible company that helps solve social issues with technology. We recognize that the key to our growth and success is hiring great people. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone who has the enthusiasm for creative problem solving, but maintains the dedication and focus to achieve desired results., Our stack is Haskell, Ruby, Git, Ubuntu and we are primarily looking for a Haskeller with a deep understanding of computer language development to help build the next generation of the Signal Vine platform. Your main focus will be building our custom DSL, you will also be expected to work on all aspects of the Signal Vine tech platform, including tasks such as maintaining our Ruby on Rails application as necessary, responding to customer support requests, and preparing demo content. Further, we expect you to maintain a holistic view of how technology can be used to further the Signal Vine vision.

Requirements

  • Have built release quality software with Haskell
  • Are able to create custom DSLs
  • Can do self directed work
  • Work well with others
  • Are intellectually honest
  • Can express technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Hold a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or related
  • Are trust worthy and conscientious

It’d be cool if you…

  • Have experience with Ruby, Scala, AngularJs
  • Are interested in dev-ops and build automation
  • Have used web frameworks to build one or more applications (i.e. RoR, NancyFx, Flask, Play, etc….)
  • Can use CSS effectively
  • Know Unix well
  • Have public examples of projects you’ve completed
  • Have published technically relevant articles, blog posts or books
  • Maintain a social media presence that represents your technical interests and ability
