Job description

  1. Code the full version of iFLIP4’s website, which has been expertly designed by a Web Designer with a Masters in HCI from Carnegie Mellon
  2. Maintain and update the current Beta website on a regular basis
  3. Manage and supervise the developer team
  4. Create responsive webpages

This position requires a commitment of about 20 hours/week. It is part time, with a small stipend. After we raise our Angel round of funding, this role can grow into a full-time position with a full salary and equity in iFLIP4, assuming the work you do is great! We are located in East Hanover, NJ, and telecommuting is fine with us.

Requirements

This role is for someone who is passionate about constantly improving a revolutionary website that gives millennials the tools to make a profound impact on the world. You should be motivated to come up with innovative solutions and also to buckle down and crank out incredible work with the web developer team you’ll oversee.

We don’t want a code monkey; we don’t want someone to say yes and implement every feature we ask for. What we want is a partner. Someone to bounce ideas off of, someone with a vision for the future of our company, and someone who has the desire and drive to make it a reality.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. PHP (5+, OO PHP), and MySQL/SQL Database Experience (LAMP stack)
  2. HTML/HTML5
  3. GNU/Linux experience
  4. CSS (LESS/SASS is a plus), Webfonts
  5. Javascript (DOM, client-side MVC frameworks are a plus)
  6. Git, software engineering best practices (TDD, Scrum? You decide!)
  7. You care as much about UX/UI as you do about O() and normalizing DBs
  8. Familiar with A/B testing, analytics, and pivoting quickly
  9. Sysadmin/Scaling experience (site is Rackspace hosted)
  10. Experience developing and maintaining templates, using add-ons, and optimizing for efficient and reliable performance
  11. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar preferred
  12. Great English communication skills, both written and spoken
  13. Experience ExpressionEngine CMS Platform and Cloud Computing a plus
