Job description

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Sr. Snowflake Data Engineer on behalf of our client in Houston, TX or Allentown, PA to help build and enhance a modern data platform supporting critical business use cases. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Snowflake and AWS experience, expertise in data engineering and modeling, and the ability to independently lead technical initiatives and teams. Key Responsibilities Build automated and manual data ingestion pipelines into Snowflake. Develop data transformations, mappings, reusable components, and UDFs. Design and implement scalable data models and warehouse/lakehouse solutions. Optimize Snowflake workloads and pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost. Support platform architecture, connectivity, configuration, and workload design. Deliver data solutions through Agile, iterative development cycles. Support UAT, production readiness, deployment, rollback, recovery, and business continuity. Establish reusable platform capabilities to accelerate future data initiatives. Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

Local candidates in TX or PA are preferred. An in-person interview may be requested during the final round. Job Summary, Independently lead technical initiatives and provide guidance to team members. Required Qualifications 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong data engineering expertise. Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including: Data modeling Performance optimization Access controls Data warehousing and lakehouse patterns Automated and manual data pipelines Strong understanding of transactional data systems such as ERP or Trading platforms. Working knowledge of AWS data services, including S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, EMR, and Redshift. Experience designing scalable cloud-based data architectures. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to lead a team independently. Preferred Qualifications Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms. Experience with Agile delivery and CI/CD practices. Experience supporting data quality, governance, security, and operational standards. Experience within financial, energy, trading, or other data-intensive environments. Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience.
