Job description

  • This role will support our client’s flexible, mission-based engineering environment across multiple teams and projects.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality Android mobile applications using modern development practices.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with developers, technical leads, business partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve mobile application issues.
  • Participate in application testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
  • Quickly learn new applications, tools, and technologies as projects and business priorities change.
  • Contribute to mission-based initiatives and provide development support to different teams based on business needs.
  • Work independently when needed while effectively collaborating within Agile development teams.
  • Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and begin contributing with minimal ramp-up time.

Requirements

  • Hands-on Android application development experience
  • Strong Kotlin and/or Java development experience
  • Experience with Android SDK
  • Experience developing and supporting mobile user interfaces
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and web services
  • Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and Android development best practices
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems
  • Experience working effectively within Agile and team-oriented development environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications, tools, and technologies
  • Ability to hit the ground running and contribute with minimal ramp-up time
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing projects, teams, and business priorities, * Experience with Jetpack and/or Jetpack Compose
  • Experience with Android Studio
  • Experience with MVVM or other modern Android architecture patterns
  • Experience with Kotlin Coroutines
  • Experience with Retrofit and/or OkHttp
  • Experience with unit and UI testing
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and tools
  • Experience working within large enterprise technology environments
  • Previous experience within a similar large-scale enterprise environment is strongly preferred
