IT Business Architect

Day-to-Day

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define capabilities, requirements, and future-state operating models
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to identify needs and establish cross-functional consensus
• Assess current processes, systems, and capabilities for modernization, optimization, and operational-improvement opportunities
• Document system dependencies, integrations, data flows, file movements, conversion requirements, and downstream impacts
• Build decision criteria, assessment frameworks, and comparative analyses for technology-solution evaluations
• Develop comprehensive TCO analyses spanning implementation, integration, conversion, licensing, infrastructure, support, and maintenance
• Prepare business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and executive recommendations
• Produce architecture artifacts, evaluation materials, governance documentation, and procurement-support materials
• Evaluate business, operational, compliance, risk, and organizational impacts of proposed solutions
• Create capability maps, process flows, operating models, stakeholder requirements, and future-state recommendations
• Support roadmap planning by identifying sequencing, dependencies, organizational impacts, and key decisions
• Collaborate across business, operations, technology, finance, risk, and compliance
• Present findings, recommendations, and strategic roadmaps to leadership and governance committees, Insight Global is seeking a Senior Business Architect Consultant for a top financial-services client. This consultant will support enterprise-level strategic initiatives by partnering with business and technology stakeholders to assess current and future-state capabilities, define requirements and operating models, and evaluate technology and vendor solutions. The ideal candidate will combine business architecture expertise with strong financial analysis skills, developing TCO models, business cases, comparative assessments, and executive-level recommendations that guide investment and transformation decisions. This is a highly visible opportunity to influence strategic roadmaps while collaborating across operations, technology, finance, risk, and compliance

• 8+ years of experience in business architecture, business transformation, management consulting, or a closely related discipline
• Experience supporting large-scale business and technology initiatives
• Strong workshop facilitation, business analysis, and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience documenting business capabilities, processes, operating models, and requirements
• Ability to evaluate complex business challenges and develop practical recommendations
• Proven experience creating Total Cost of Ownership, cost-benefit, and ROI analyses for executive decision-making and technology investments
• Ability to quantify business value, risks, operational impacts, and total ownership costs across competing solutions
• Experience with technology-platform evaluations, vendor assessments, and solution-selection initiatives
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to operate independently with strong personal accountability
• Excellent professional, collaborative, and service-oriented communication skills

-Exceptional attention to detail, particularly with financial data and complex business logic - Financial-services or banking experience

• Experience partnering with finance, risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams
• Experience preparing materials for executive leadership or governance committees
• Knowledge of procurement support and technology-investment governance
