Job description

  • Perform thorough residential and commercial field assessments.
  • Evaluate plumbing, electrical, well-pump, water-storage, pressure, filtration, and related mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose problems using verified measurements, equipment data, photographs, and complete documentation.
  • Explain technical findings to customers in clear, understandable .
  • Develop accurate, detailed scopes of work, material lists, and customer proposals.
  • Present repair, replacement, upgrade, and preventive-maintenance options honestly.
  • Establish value, confidently ask for the work, and follow up on open proposals.
  • Coordinate approved projects with scheduling, technicians, department managers, and vendors.
  • Brief field crews so they fully understand what was sold and what the project requires.
  • Oversee project quality, schedule, communication, and adherence to the approved scope.
  • Manage change orders and communicate scope or price changes directly with customers.
  • Remain available to technicians when unexpected field conditions arise.
  • Ensure work meets applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and Northern Water & Power standards.
  • Maintain complete, professional records in Jobber, including notes, photographs, approvals, and project updates.
  • Follow company procedures for customer authorization, deposits, invoicing, and project closeout.
  • Build lasting customer relationships and represent Northern Water & Power professionally at all times., * Are equally comfortable in front of a customer and in a mechanical room.
  • Listen carefully before offering a solution.
  • Never guess when information can be verified.
  • Can turn a complicated technical problem into a clear plan.

Requirements

Northern Water & Power is seeking an experienced, dual-licensed professional who can combine technical expertise, project management, customer service, and sales.

This is not a desk-only project management position. You will meet customers at their homes and businesses, assess their systems, identify the real cause of their problems, explain your findings clearly, develop accurate proposals, and manage approved projects through completion.

Our ideal candidate is technically capable, confident with customers, highly organized, honest, responsive, and able to follow established company procedures. You must be comfortable presenting premium solutions, asking for the work, and taking ownership of each project from the initial assessment through final closeout., * Current, valid plumbing license.

  • Current, valid electrical license.
  • Journeyman-level or higher credentials in both trades are strongly .
  • Credentials must be valid for the jurisdiction in which work is performed.
  • Strong working knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems accurately and develop complete scopes of work.
  • Project management, estimating, sales, or service-management experience.
  • Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to present solutions confidently without using high-pressure or dishonest sales tactics.
  • Ability to follow directions, established procedures, pricing structures, and chains of communication.
  • Strong written documentation, organization, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable using mobile applications, photographs, email, text messaging, and customer-management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer locations throughout our service area.
