Java Lead Developer - AWS OpenSearch/Elastic Search

• Able to dive deep into a technical task and provide in-depth recommendations on best design and coding practices
• Own the high-level design of the solution and evaluate solution alternatives. Define subsystems and their interfaces; allocate responsibilities subsystems; understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interaction with the solution context.
• Tune and refactor existing Java, Spring Boot and Elastic Search solutions
• Be a coach - facilitate and lead code review, design and technical sessions
• Be delivery- and quality-focused
• Ensure security and compliance requirements; publish and keep current any suitable artifacts

• 8+ years of experience in software development required, including some commercial/non-government work
• Bachelor’s degree or greater in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Large systems software design and development experience is required.
• Hands on experience designing, developing, implementing, testing, and deploying large scale projects on AWS
• Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
• Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
• Experience with ingesting, storing, validating and transforming large volume of enterprise data in a consumable format
