  • You will expertly manage SAN/NAS solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across platforms.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering approach to troubleshooting complex storage-related issues, providing detailed root cause analysis, and developing effective, well-documented solutions.

  • You will analyze storage performance bottlenecks across the entire infrastructure, engineer solutions for optimization based on organizational needs and SLAs, and implement secure user permissions and access controls while adhering to best practices.
  • Collaboration with vendors and hardware providers is essential for managing upgrades, patching, and evaluating new technologies for potential adoption.
  • Beyond day-to-day operations, you will analyze IT-related trends, risks, and opportunities to identify areas for engineering improvement across the enterprise, recommending and guiding the adoption of innovative technologies that align with the organizational mission.
  • Finally, you will ensure compliance with cybersecurity, audit, and federal IT standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA), applying an engineering-minded approach to securing systems and processes, while providing clear and concise technical documentation for all implemented solutions.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is preferred; however, equivalent technical certifications or demonstrable experience, substantiated by eight (8) additional years of documented experience that fully addresses all position requirements, will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • The ideal candidate will also demonstrate extensive experience in data center engineering and in managing virtualized environments, SAN/NAS devices, email services, desktop services, and a wide array of technologies supporting computing capabilities.
  • Furthermore, the candidate must exhibit a consistent ability to provide exceptional customer service across all organizational levels and in a variety of circumstances.
  • This position mandates compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, fulfilling the requirements of an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II, including possession of a Security+ certification.
  • In addition to the aforementioned requirements, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience (10+ years) as a Storage Engineer, demonstrating proficiency across multiple storage vendors, a strong understanding of SAN/NAS protocols, proven problem-solving skills, and experience with IT advisory services.
  • Experience with emerging technologies, such as object storage, cloud integration, or AI-driven data management, is highly desirable.
  • This contract provides a unique opportunity to directly contribute to the stability, performance, and security of our critical storage infrastructure, exert strategic influence through expert IT advisory services, and leverage cutting-edge technologies, all while earning a competitive compensation package and significantly expanding professional skill.

  • This position requires the person(s) to be eligible and adjudicated to TS/SCI clearance level at contract start. -Must be a U.S. citizen.
