Job description

Seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team developing mission-critical communications and service-based software. This hands-on leadership role oversees the complete software lifecycle while supporting technical planning, employee development, recruiting, and cross-functional system integration., * Provide daily technical and task leadership to software engineers.

  • Lead development of RESTful APIs, service-based architectures, and Java enterprise applications.
  • Oversee deployment and sustainment on Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with systems, electrical, cybersecurity, and program teams.
  • Mentor engineers and support performance reviews, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Assist with hands-on development, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
  • Provide technical input for proposals, estimates, schedules, and engineering plans.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least nine years of relevant experience; graduate degree with seven years; or 13 years without a degree.
  • Software engineering leadership or technical-lead experience.
  • Production experience designing, developing, or integrating RESTful services.
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid Agile environments.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to proposals, cost estimating, or EVMS-driven programs.
  • Ability to work onsite in Camden full time., * OpenShift, MicroShift, Kubernetes, DevOps, or CI/CD experience.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux and RPM packaging.
  • Java enterprise applications, WAR deployments, and JBoss.
  • VoIP, SIP call control, PJSIP, PJMEDIA, or similar technologies.

Benefits & conditions
