Job description

CSI Companies is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support Banking as a Service (BaaS) platform initiatives, partner onboarding efforts, and platform enhancement projects. This role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting scalable, secure, and high performing applications that enable embedded financial services across a growing partner ecosystem.

This opportunity is ideal for a software engineer who enjoys building cloud native solutions, designing APIs and microservices, and working on mission critical customer facing applications within a fast paced financial services environment.

You will partner with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable technology solutions that support business growth and platform reliability., Work Authorization

What you will do

  • Design and develop APIs and microservices that support BaaS onboarding and partner integrations
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions
  • Support engineering excellence through code reviews, mentoring, and development best practices
  • Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, and observability initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with SLA standards and operational requirements
  • Support monitoring, alerting, and system reliability efforts
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis activities
  • Create architectural documentation and technical design materials
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support business objectives
  • Refactor and extend existing applications to resolve defects and enhance functionality
  • Design systems that are durable, scalable, and highly configurable

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of software engineering experience
  • At least 1 year of technical leadership experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating secure and standards compliant software development
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET, and SQL
  • Hands on experience with Azure services including APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault
  • Experience with container technologies
  • Experience with caching frameworks
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design
  • Experience implementing OAuth2 and OpenAPI standards
  • Experience with event driven architectures including Service Bus and Event Hubs
  • Experience with microservices architecture patterns
  • Experience with Datadog, Grafana, or similar observability platforms
  • Experience working in fast paced environments supporting customer facing applications
  • Strong knowledge of Git, DevOps, Agile Scrum, and software development best practices
  • Understanding of PCI DSS, SOC 2, and financial services security requirements

  • Experience in fintech environments
  • Experience supporting embedded finance platforms
  • Familiarity with partner onboarding workflows
  • Experience supporting SLA management initiatives
  • Contributions to open source projects
  • Technical publications or thought leadership contributions, This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who enjoys building cloud native applications, designing scalable APIs, supporting fintech platforms, and delivering reliable customer facing solutions within a collaborative engineering environment.
