Job description

We are seeking an Inventory Technician - to support equipment, parts, chemical inventory, and hands-on mechanical and electrical operations. This position will work in a plant, laboratory, and highbay environment and will assist with equipment maintenance, construction, fabrication, deliveries, and general facility support., * Maintain clean, organized areas and manage parts/equipment inventory.

  • Create and maintain chemical and equipment inventory records.
  • Construct plastic containment systems using Unistrut.
  • Maintain and service equipment and vehicles.
  • Install and remove insulation as needed.
  • Deliver packages and materials throughout the facility.
  • Assist with welding, cutting, wiring, and wire installation.
  • Assist with drawings and other technical tasks.
  • Support general plant, laboratory, and demonstration-scale operations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and assist with resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Follow all required safety procedures when working with equipment and chemicals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of relevant experience required.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Experience with demonstration-scale operations .
  • Experience working with chemicals .
  • Must be willing to work shifts, including potential 24/7 shift coverage, based on workload.

Physical Requirements

  • Work in plant, laboratory, highbay, and outdoor environments.
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Ability to walk between work sites across a large facility.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • MVR required
  • Steel-toed safety shoes required
  • Hard hat required
  • Dress code: Collared shirt and jeans
