Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience administering and engineering RHEL servers in production environments
  • Experience with distributed enterprise services, DNS, firewalls, switches, NAS, backup solutions, load balancers, and server hardware.
  • Experience with patching, OS hardening, application hardening, and STIG compliance.
  • Experience with automating server management tasks with ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts.
  • Experience supporting a SOC, SIEM, or cyber defense environment
  • Working knowledge of and Windows administration
  • Ability to collaborate with analysts and engineers to align telemetry inges on with detection, monitoring, and compliance requirements, US Citizenship is Required Active Secret Clearance is Required

  • Hands-on experience administering Cisco network devices in production environments
  • Experience with GIT, and DevOps principles
  • Experience using wri ng Ansible scripts to manage RHEL hosts
  • Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise Security, CIM, data models, and security content dependencies
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure AWS, Azure, Microso 365, iden ty pla orms, EDR, firewalls, and network security tools
  • Familiarity with regex, JSON parsing, syslog, and API-based log collection

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience administering Cisco network devices in production environments

We are seeking a RHEL system administrator / infrastructure engineer to support a SOC Engineering team responsible for expanding security visibility across cloud and on-premises environments. This engineer will be responsible for RHEL system provisioning, patching, STIG compliance, backups, and configuring existing hardware and software to support new software and capabilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong SIEM platform experience and a solid understanding of enterprise RHEL deployments and an understanding of SOC operations and support.
