Job description

Trevity LLC is seeking Principal Software Engineers to provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for enterprise-scale imagery exploitation, geospatial intelligence, and advanced analytics platforms supporting the IC and DoD enterprise. This role is responsible for driving the design and implementation of highly scalable, secure, and mission-focused software solutions leveraging cloud-native architectures, microservices, geospatial processing pipelines, and advanced API frameworks. Principal engineers will serve as senior technical advisors across multiple development efforts, lead architecture decisions, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate directly with government stakeholders to modernize analytic and imagery exploitation workflows.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Supervising experience?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Master’s degree and minimum 13 years of experience in software engineering or full stack development; OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 15 years of experience in software engineering or full stack development; OR
  • Minimum 17 years of equivalent professional experience in software engineering or related field.

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated firsthand experience in at least four of the following:
  • Java, JavaScript, or Python enterprise application development-Web services architecture, design, and development
  • Relational database design
  • Spatial database design
  • NoSQL database design
  • Microservice architecture and development
  • Containerization and orchestration
  • API development
  • Cloud-native development in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Extensive experience with enterprise database development and distributed systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within Agile and Lean software development environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience serving as a Scrum Lead, Team Lead, or Technical Lead.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise-scale software architectures and secure cloud-native solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams and engage directly with senior stakeholders.

  • Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or Certified Scrum Professional.
  • Extensive experience developing advanced geospatial analysis tools and automation workflows.
  • Experience integrating enterprise geospatial COTS applications and imagery exploitation platforms.
  • Experience supporting SAR, RADAR, or advanced imagery processing technologies.
  • Deep experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, GeoServer, Image Server, and related geospatial platforms.
  • Experience with OGC standards, API abstraction layers, and modern enterprise service architectures.
  • Experience developing automated detection algorithms, terrain analysis visualization tools, or AI/ML-enabled analytics workflows.
  • Experience supporting enterprise geospatial modernization efforts across government or defense organizations.
