- Manage MacOS servers in a data center environment, including patching schedules and compliance.
- Automate software patch installations and security updates using scripting tools.
- Collaborate with the MacSupport Team to execute server management plans and standards.
- Ensure servers meet security software and OS baselines and remain compliant with controls.
- Oversee DHCP and server IP configuration, and resolve network identification and IP conflicts.
- Package and deploy software in managed OS environments to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
We are seeking a MacOS Server Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in MacOS server administration, patching, automation, and data center operations and a proven ability to maintain secure, compliant, and reliable MacOS server environments through scripting and tooling., * Extensive experience with MacOS server administration in data center environments.
- Proficiency in scripting for automation of patches and security updates on MacOS.
- Solid knowledge of DHCP, server IP configuration, and network identification/IP conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of managed OS environments, software packaging, and installation.
- Proficiency with server configuration and scripting tools; familiarity with Jamf, Workspace ONE, Tanium, and related security profile solutions.
- Knowledge of server virtualization concepts and practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a server administrator.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience administering Jamf, Workspace ONE, and Tanium at scale.
- Background in enterprise security hardening and compliance frameworks., * Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite. Onsite required starting day 1.
