Job description

Location: NYC (Hybrid - at least 3 days onsite/week) Visa Sponsorship: Talan does not sponsor U.S. work permits or employment visas. The Credit Trading Application Support team provides production and application support for critical Credit Trading, Pricing, STP, and Risk platforms across both in-house and vendor applications, including ION, JAG, NEXUS, QuartzC, Lynx, Omega, ONCA Risk, Focus, Client Clearing, and E-TRAD. The team acts as a key bridge between traders, Technology, Developers, Business Analysts, Infrastructure, and vendors, ensuring production stability, minimizing downtime, and supporting the full trade lifecycle across fixed income and credit products. Responsibilities

Provide L1/L2 production support for Fixed Income trading applications, ensuring platform stability and timely issue resolution.
Monitor applications, perform troubleshooting, log analysis, and log scraping to identify and resolve production incidents.
Support trading, pricing, risk, analytics, and booking workflows with a strong focus on the RFQ lifecycle.
Manage Incident, Problem, and Change processes using ServiceNow and support releases and enhancements through JIRA.
Collaborate closely with traders, developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve production issues and improve system reliability.
Support platforms such as ION MarketView, Bloomberg, and MarketAxess while contributing to automation and operational efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

5+ years of Application/Production Support experience within investment banking or capital markets.
Strong knowledge of Fixed Income products, pricing, risk concepts, and the RFQ lifecycle.
Experience supporting trading and risk applications; exposure to ION MarketView, Bloomberg, and MarketAxess is highly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience in production support, log analysis, and incident management.
Knowledge of FIX Protocol, Linux/Windows environments, and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Geneos.
Familiarity with SQL, Python, ServiceNow, and JIRA, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
