Job description

Data center developer is seeking a Controls, Security, Network, Computer Lead for a permanent role to be based in Piketon, Ohio. Relocation assistance is available for candidates interested in moving to the area.

Will oversee the design, coordination, and delivery of critical technology systems for large-scale data center construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all low-voltage and intelligent systems are properly designed, integrated, and commissioned to meet performance, security, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design coordination, and execution of:
  • Building Management Systems (BMS) / Controls
  • Physical Security Systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection)
  • Network infrastructure (structured cabling, fiber, switching)
  • Compute environments and white space readiness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology systems during design and construction phases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, general contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders
  • Review and validate design documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure alignment with project and operational requirements
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors responsible for controls, security, and IT infrastructure installations
  • Oversee installation quality, integration, and system interoperability across all platforms
  • Drive commissioning activities, including testing, validation, and turnover documentation
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to system integration, schedule, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security requirements, and client specifications
  • Support project schedules, budgets, and reporting for all scoped systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years in Data center construction, critical infrastructure, or mission-critical environments preferred.
  • Strong experience with:
  • BMS / EPMS / controls systems
  • Physical security systems (Lenel, Genetec, etc.)
  • Structured cabling and network infrastructure
  • Data center IT/compute environments
  • Proven experience managing vendors and coordinating across multiple disciplines
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and system integration in mission-critical environments
