Job description

The IT Team at Immuta empowers the organization to focus on its mission: enabling the legal and ethical use of data, ensuring that data is accessible only to those who need it, for the right reasons, and in the proper form. We are responsible for the organization’s AI platforms, endpoints, infrastructure, networks, SaaS applications, cloud platforms, IAM, and more., This engineering role focuses on building solutions that serve the organization. You will work with stakeholders to discover, design, and implement new technologies, as well as enhance our existing, robust, and modern technology stack. Two areas are central to this role today: architecting and governing our multi-cloud environments, and driving adoption of our internal AI platforms by partnering with teams across the company to turn their business problems into working automation. The role offers endless opportunities to learn and grow, as you’ll frequently work with a range of technologies, from infrastructure and cloud to AI platforms, SaaS applications, endpoint management, and more., * Run IT engineering and implementation projects across a wide range of technologies such as cloud platforms, AI platforms, endpoint management, Google Workspace, networking, observability, Okta, SASE, and server platforms.

  • Serve as the internal expert on our AI platforms, consulting with teams across the business to design and build agents, automations, and workflows that measurably improve how they work, and training users as the platform evolves.
  • Mentor and grow other members of the team, sharing best practices, solutions, and lessons learned to make the team better.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to improve our systems and processes, practicing a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Work within a robust IT Service Management environment, helping the team manage incidents, service requests, changes, assets, and our knowledge base.
  • Resolve escalated support issues from our user support staff.
  • Partner with stakeholders outside IT on cross-functional operational improvement initiatives, representing IT as a technical resource.

Requirements

This position requires in-office attendance at least 3 days per week in our Columbus, OH office. Candidates must be based in Columbus, OH or nearby to be considered., * IT Experience: 8+ years of IT experience, preferably with some experience in user support roles.

  • Systems Engineering: 4+ years of systems administration or engineering experience.
  • Endpoint and SaaS Management: Proficiency in managing macOS environments and SaaS applications.
  • ITSM and IAM: An understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) fundamentals.
  • Technology Expertise: Engineering proficiency in several of the following technologies: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, endpoint management, Google Workspace, networking, observability, Okta, Prisma Access, scripting, Terraform, and Windows Server.
  • AI and Automation: Hands-on experience with AI tooling and a genuine interest in applying it to business problems, including building agents or automations, writing effective prompts, and helping non-technical colleagues get value from the technology.
  • Analytical Experience: Expertise in gathering and analyzing requirements, considering customer needs and business impacts, to make the right decisions to drive projects forward.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style and content to the audience.
  • Ownership: Strong follow-through on commitments and responsibilities, owning deliverables from start to finish.
  • Customer Focus: High-touch customer service skills and an outward mindset.
  • Collaboration and Growth: A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and grow, and the desire to work in a collaborative environment that values teamwork and providing top-notch user experiences.
