Build the data solutions that keep us moving forward! Join us as a Data Manager - Operations in this hybrid position, offering 80% remote work with onsite work in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will… Essential Functions:
- Leading and managing the Data Operations team responsible for database administration, data engineering, data integration, automation and operational support
- Overseeing the design, implementation, monitoring, optimization and reliability of enterprise databases, data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows and data integration platforms
- Working closely with business units, analytics teams, application teams, vendors and IT leadership to understand operational needs, prioritize work and support data platform modernization
- Establishing and promoting standards for database administration, data engineering, data governance, security, data quality, backup and recovery, documentation and operational support

Requirements
The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field
- Four years of experience in database administration, data engineering, data platform operations or enterprise data management, including supervisory and team leadership experience

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
- Five years experience leading Data Operations, Database Administration, or Data Engineering teams supporting enterprise data platforms and services
- Five years experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise database platforms, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes
- Four years experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or cloud-based database technologies in enterprise environments
- Four years experience with data integration and orchestration tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Airflow, or similar technologies
- Four years experience implementing automation, scripting, and operational monitoring using PowerShell, Python, BASH, or similar scripting languages
How Will We Know You’re ‘The One’?
- Knowledge of enterprise data operations, including database administration, data engineering, integration, reliability and support
- Knowledge of relational/cloud databases, ETL/ELT, data integration, and pipeline architecture
- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimization, automation and monitoring
- Knowledge of data governance, quality, security, access controls and compliance
- Ability to lead technical teams and prioritize multiple projects and operational needs
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and collaborate with business units, technical teams, vendors and leadership
