Preferred backgrounds include privacy program development, AI governance and responsible AI deployment, incident response, and technology licensing and commercial contracting (cloud, software, and IT services agreements).   • Counsel clients on data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate technology and commercial agreements.

Requirements

A prominent national law firm is seeking a lateral associate to join its technology, data privacy, and cybersecurity practice. This is a strong opportunity to work on sophisticated data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI governance matters for clients across a broad range of industries. The firm is looking for candidates with roughly 5-7 years of experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, technology transactions, or information governance., * J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • 5-7 years of substantive experience in data privacy, cybersecurity, technology transactions, or information governance at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements and advising on privacy compliance programs.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
