Job description

TCS Belgium is looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in driving quality assurance and continuous testing practices across digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, DevSecOps methodologies, and modern software testing tools., * Design, prepare, execute, and monitor automated tests across web, API, backend, and mobile applications.

Define and implement strategies for integrating automated testing within the overall testing lifecycle.
Evaluate automation tools and technologies to identify the best fit for digital solutions following a DevSecOps approach.
Design and develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks.
Create methodologies and architectures for enterprise-wide test automation solutions.
Drive the transition from manual testing to automated testing practices.
Develop automated test reporting dashboards and quality metrics.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to identify automation opportunities.
Develop automated regression suites and promote a shift-left testing culture.
Manage test data and support defect tracking and test management processes.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and implementing test automation solutions.
Strong knowledge of automation frameworks and tools such as:
Selenium WebDriver
Cypress
RestAssured
Knowledge of Generative AI-based automated test generation.
Experience with Test Management and Defect Tracking tools.
Strong understanding of test data management practices.
Proficiency in at least one programming language:
Java
Python
JavaScript
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.
Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.

Certification (Mandatory)

One of the following certifications or equivalent:

ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer

Soft Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Fluent in one of French or Dutch.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prepare clear, structured, and comprehensive reports.
Experience working in international and multicultural environments.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
Adaptability to evolving technologies, automation frameworks, and delivery methodologies.
