Job description

PEGA SSA - Constellation Focus/Pega Platform ‘26 - 2 months - Start ASAP

We are seeking a high-calibre Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) with deep expertise in Pega Constellation to lead a critical Proof of Concept (POC). In this role, you will be the core technical driver responsible for validating architecture, building high-performance reactive UI applications, and demonstrating the business value of Pega’s modern design system. You will bridge the gap between Legacy Pega architectures and modern, API-driven Constellation applications to set the technical blueprint for our future enterprise solutions.

Core Responsibilities

  • POC Execution: Rapidly design, build, and deliver a high-visibility Proof of Concept (POC) utilizing the Pega Constellation architecture.

  • Architecture & UI Design: Leverage Constellation’s view-based architecture, orchestration engine, and design system to build clean, low-code, and highly performant user interfaces.

  • API & Integration: Configure and optimize DX APIs (v2) to ensure seamless communication between the Pega Back End and the Constellation UI layer.

  • Technical Leadership: Guide the team on Constellation best practices, guardrails, and limitations, steering them away from traditional section-based UI anti-patterns.

  • Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, focusing on payload sizes, state management, and rendering speeds inherent to Constellation.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Present POC outcomes, architectural advantages, and feasibility metrics to technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Pega Certification: Active Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) or higher.

  • Constellation Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience building applications using Pega Constellation (OOTB or extended via custom web components).

  • Pega Platform: 5+ years of core Pega development experience (Pega 8.8/23/24 preferred).

  • Modern UI Concepts: Strong understanding of single-page application (SPA) architectures, React-based UI components, and Pega’s Cosmos design system philosophy.

  • Integration Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Pega DX API v2, REST integration, and data transforms.

  • Agile & POC Mindset: Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, prioritize features for minimal viable products (MVPs), and pivot quickly based on feedback.
