Job description

We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Product Owner - AI & Intelligent Automation to lead the delivery, adoption, and evolution of AI-powered products and services across the Law Society. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the organisation’s approach to Artificial Intelligence, driving innovation that enhances member experiences, improves operational efficiency, and delivers measurable business value.

As the Product Owner, you will define and own the AI product vision and roadmap, identifying high-value opportunities to embed AI and intelligent automation across our digital estate. You’ll play a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption of tools such as Microsoft Copilot, exploring the potential of AI agents, and delivering solutions that support strategic priorities and organisational objectives.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, data specialists, architects, and suppliers, you will lead initiatives from discovery through to implementation and scaled adoption. Combining product ownership with delivery leadership, you will ensure that AI-enabled solutions are delivered effectively, responsibly, and with clear outcomes for both the business and our members.

Requirements

We’re seeking a commercially minded Product Owner who is passionate about emerging technologies and motivated by the opportunity to turn innovative ideas into tangible business outcomes. You will have a strong track record of leading digital products and services, with experience of managing product roadmaps, prioritising backlogs, and working within Agile delivery environments.

You will be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, translating business needs into clear product requirements, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes. An understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Microsoft Copilot, or intelligent automation technologies will be highly beneficial, alongside a genuine curiosity for emerging technology trends and their practical application.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams, and will bring a collaborative and delivery-focused approach. Experience of data platforms, AI-enabled products, automation tools, or modern cloud technologies would be advantageous, as would an understanding of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and data security considerations.
