Job description

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Join Platform Services as a Senior .NET Engineer and help shape the future of identity and supplier integration across Flight Centre Travel Group. Working within the AgentPort, Supplier API & Traveller Identity squad, you’ll build strategic platform capabilities that support hundreds of thousands of traveller profiles and a complex ecosystem of downstream integrations. This is a high-impact engineering role where you’ll own roadmap-driven initiatives end-to-end, contribute to platform-wide identity strategy, and help maintain the reliability of systems relied upon across multiple FCTG brands. If you thrive in complex environments, enjoy solving large-scale integration challenges, and embrace AI-assisted engineering, this opportunity offers meaningful technical ownership and influence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own roadmap-driven features end-to-end across AgentPort, Supplier API and Traveller Identity.
  • Partner with the Technical Product Manager/Product Owner and Tech Lead to deliver strategic platform outcomes.
  • Translate roadmap themes into scalable technical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for integrations, consolidation, scalability, and platform growth.
  • Analyse requirements thoroughly and proactively resolve ambiguities before development begins.
  • Design minimal-footprint solutions with clear documentation of technical decisions.
  • Assess and manage downstream impacts across complex integration ecosystems.
  • Deliver high-quality C# and .NET solutions following established coding standards.
  • Follow ASP.NET MVC, queue-based integration architecture, SQL Server, and Azure App Services best practices.
  • Apply SOLID principles, security-conscious development, and proactive error handling.
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools, including Claude Code and internal AI tooling, as part of daily development workflows.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests for all delivered functionality.
  • Conduct end-to-end validation and provide documented testing evidence.
  • Participate actively in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
  • Manage deployments, monitor production performance using Datadog, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Take ownership of production outcomes and maintain a zero-production-error mindset.
  • Collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams using clear written and verbal communication.
  • Contribute to engineering maturity initiatives and broader Platform Services goals.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.

Requirements

  • Strong production-grade experience with C# and .NET.
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC.
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Experience working with Azure-hosted services.
  • Experience designing solutions within complex, highly integrated systems.
  • Ability to assess impacts across multiple downstream integrations and platforms.
  • Proficiency in, or willingness to learn, Java, Ruby, or Elixir.
  • Experience with or enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
  • Strong testing discipline, including unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with production monitoring practices.
  • Security-conscious development experience, including PII and PCI awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a structured delivery and deployment cadence.
