Job description

· Design, build and support secure cloud platforms using modern engineering and automation practices.

· Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, configuration management and deployment automation.

· Collaborate with customers, architects and security specialists to deliver secure cloud solutions.

· Monitor, operate and continuously improve cloud platforms to maintain resilience and availability.

· Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues across modern cloud environments.

· Contribute to cloud security, risk management and compliance ensuring secure-by-design principles.

· Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability, standards and best practice.

· Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to improve platform capabilities and customer outcomes.

Requirements

· Hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platforms.

· Experience designing, deploying or supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services.

· Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools and deployment automation approaches.

· Strong understanding of cloud networking, security and operational best practices.

· Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues in modern infrastructure environments.

· Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

· Clear and effective communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

· Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

· Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices.

· Knowledge of cloud security controls, compliance frameworks and secure-by-design principles.

· Experience developing automation using scripting or software development languages.

· AWS certifications or equivalent recognised cloud qualifications.

· Experience working within secure, regulated or government environments.
