Job description

  • Design and develop high-quality backend services primarily using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Contribute to Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives through reusable frameworks, self-service capabilities, and Internal Developer Platform features.
  • Build and evolve distributed systems, understanding technical trade-offs and selecting the most appropriate approach for each context.
  • Proactively identify technical debt, architectural bottlenecks, and scalability limitations, proposing sustainable evolution strategies through a 1-3-1 approach.
  • Contribute to cloud-native initiatives leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Promote secure-by-design principles, defining cybersecurity best practices and software quality standards across the development lifecycle.
  • Influence technical choices across the company, balancing business goals with cloud and software architecture needs.
  • Mentor engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Explore and contribute to AI-native engineering practices, including Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with proven experience designing and implementing complex systems.
  • Deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and related technologies.
  • Technology-agnostic mindset, with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new programming languages and paradigms when needed.
  • Hands-on knowledge of microservices architectures and common patterns such as API Gateway, Saga, CQRS, Circuit Breaker, Service Discovery, and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, asynchronous integrations, and event-driven systems.
  • Solid understanding of testing strategies, test automation, and quality engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized application development and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of observability principles, including metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Deep knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL technologies, including document databases, cloud-native databases such as DynamoDB, and time-series databases.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

What’s nice to have

  • Hands-on familiarity with AWS services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, LLM-based applications, and Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC) practices.
  • Knowledge of observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or significant personal technical achievements.
  • Cloud, Kubernetes, security, or software architecture certifications.
