Requirements

nBAE Systems is looking for a an experienced, self-motivated Senior Systems Engineer to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. The qualified candidate will support the development and implementation of a Space Ground mission-focused software cloud application. \n, * Experience with Government contracting for the Space market to include Ground Processing, Command and Control and/or Intelligence Systems \n

  • Experience working on-site with customers and end users in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community \n

  • Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, etc.) \n

  • Experience with UML/SysML modeling tools such as MagicDraw \n

  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Subversion, Git, etc.) \n

  • IC3 experience \n

  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes \n

  • Experience with Cloud computing environments ( e.g., AWS, Azure) \n

  • Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces and geospatial data \n, * Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 8+ years related experience or equivalent experience, training and/or certifications \n

  • Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking \n

  • Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules \n

  • Proficient in statistical analysis methods and tools \n

  • Experience with system integration and test on a UNIX or Linux platform \n

  • Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment \n

  • Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability \n

  • Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency \n

  • Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships) \n

  • Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates \n

  • Strong oral and written communications skills \n

  • Good planning and organizational skills \n

n \nAssigned tasks may include analysis of needs, the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), working with customers and other team members, preparing user interface mock-ups, technical documentation in Jira and confluence, of agile capabilities & user stories, backlog prioritization and management, sprint planning, customer engagement, close interaction with software and system test engineers on the team to achieve program objectives.   • Experience with TCPED processes, practices and tools at the IC and/or COCOM level, focusing on tasking and collection (strong preference for SIGINT) \n
