Requirements

  • 7+ years DBA expertise (2+ years hands on experience specific to Couchbase)
  • Expertise as a development and application DBA
  • 1+ year experience working within AWS or Azure
  • Proficient in writing SQL, N1QL and performance optimization
  • Expertise with Sync Gateway
  • 1+ years experience designing, developing, tuning, optimizing, deploying and updating Couchbase dataset in a highly available production environment
  • Prior experience expanding Couchbase functionality in an enterprise environment
  • Expertise in writing code in Shell or Bash at minimum (Python preferred)
  • Prior expertise working in a Linux environment
  • Deep Technical knowledge of DBMS products and ecosystem; e.g. storage formats, access algorithms, data management processes, administration, data maintenance, replication, high availability, encryption, etc.
  • Ability to monitor and tune databases and DBMS to reach high performance; e.g. use data monitoring and analysis tools, tune configuration parameters, alter physical designs, benchmark, etc.

Plusses:

  • Prior SW development programming expertise (Java is preferred)
  • Expertise in multiple NosSQL databases
  • Knowledge of eventing functions
