Job DescriptionThe Apple Hardware Engineering organization is looking for an ECAD development engineer, to develop solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of the best hardware engineering team on the planet, helping to better realize and deliver Apple†s leading hardware products.

Requirements

With a background in electrical engineering,  PCB design and software development, the ideal candidate will contribute to a large range of projects, focused on PCB design.Responsibility includes but is not limited to enhancing design checking, custom tool application workflows, and the design release process to PLM. The candidate will draw upon strong analysis, communication and problem-solving skills to drive creative, impactful and efficient solutions, helping our hardware design teams deliver their best work. Job ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and testing design tools, workflows, customizations and automationCollaborating with engineering and customer success teamsWorking independently as well as with a larger team EducationBS, MS or equivalent experience Key QualificationsExperience with EDA vendor software - Cadence, Zuken, MentorExpertise in scripting - Cadence Skill, Perl, Python, TclComfortable in web development, HTML, CSS and modern Javascript frameworksProficient in SQLExpertise in object-oriented programming and complex data structuresExcellent debugging and critical thinking skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience delivering customer support and consultationStrong verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications Proficiency with like: Cadence Skill, Perl, Python, JavaScript, Tcl,Proficiency with Linux RHEL3+ years†experience with configuration management and version control systems, such as Perforce and Git
