Senior Cloud Network Infrastructure Engineer - Public Cloud Services, SVP-C14 (H

The Senior Public Cloud Network Infrastructure Engineer will be instrumental in implementing the architecture and engineering processes and best practices to enable the foundational infrastructure (compute, network, storage, observability) required for application hosting in public cloud. This role is responsible for cloud networking from taking part in technology assessments, configuration, deployments and life cycle management to management tooling, monitoring, and orchestration. The ideal candidate has experience in software development methodologies, designing and creating highly available cloud systems with the ability to implement cloud strategy. Advanced industry knowledge like building an engineering organization is key to be successful in this position. • Deliver the tooling and capabilities needed to enable our cloud first strategy
• Provide developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation and management for supported cloud providers
• Provide support to engineer teams for o11y products like ELK, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, etc. for centralized logging, APM tooling, monitoring and alerting
• Ensure compliance to regulations and policy by implementing accurate requirements traceability
• Provide cloud network services to enable a fast and resilient hybrid cloud with built in security capabilities
• Develop, cascade and enforce engineering best practices using modern SDLC that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code
• Provide technical leadership in the design of highly complex cloud systems
• Develop and advocate for new cloud native solutions to undefined system needs where no solution is available within the technical community
• Drive client satisfaction by identifying and developing process improvement and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance of solutions to operations roadmap

• Experience working in a distributed, cloud-based environment using Azure/AWS/GCP (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and data services (compute, storage, networking and others)
• Awareness of cloud-based relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and test automation using unit testing and behavioral testing frameworks
• Strong experience with DevOps and SRE practices
• Foundational understanding of modern microservices architectures and deployments
• Considerable experience with modern SDLC tools, branching strategies, and ability to develop and enforce CI/CD practices
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and Event Driven Architectures
• Experience working with Linux/UNIX, Docker
• Expert with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and frameworks
• Expert proficiency in IaC deployment tools and languages (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
• Expert level understanding of AWS/GCP native networking services such as AWS Transit Gateway, GCP Shared VPC, AWS/GCP VPC peering, AWS direct connect, etc.
• Advanced understanding of cloud DNS (AWS Route53 and GCP Cloud DNS), network routing, proxies, firewall technology, load balancers, and cloud network security services (e.g. AWS network firewall, WAF, security groups, etc.)
• Advanced understanding of cloud application delivery services such as (AWS NLB/ALB and GCP Network Load balancers)
• Awareness of front-end stack, best practices, frameworks and overall architecture
• Experience as an AWS Solutions Architect is a plus
• Experience and/or knowledge of programming languages like Python or Golang is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent relevant experience
• Cloud Security and/or OpenStack Administrator certifications are a big plus
