Job description
The Machine Learning Engineer will develop and productionize machine learning algorithms that power personalization, recommendations, and engagement across Disney Streaming products such as Disney+ and Hulu. As an individual contributor, you will lead recommendation and personalization research, development, and deployment while collaborating with Engineering, Product, Data, and Editorial teams. You will help identify new personalization opportunities, shape the algorithmic roadmap, and improve data collection, experimentation, and analysis processes., * Develop and productionize machine learning algorithms

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience developing machine learning models, large-scale data analysis, or data engineering solutions
- 5+ years of experience writing production-level scalable code
- Strong Python and SQL programming skills
- 3+ years of experience developing algorithms for production systems
- Strong understanding of modern machine learning and deep learning methods
- Strong understanding of the mathematical foundations of machine learning
- Experience building big-data solutions and production pipelines
- Experience with Databricks, S3, and Spark
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- MS or PhD in a quantitative field preferred
- Experience with content recommendation algorithms preferred
- Experience with full-stack ML pipelines preferred
- Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance preferred
- Experience with cloud-hosted databases preferred, * Machine learning
