Product Owner - Engagement Portal

The Product Owner- Engagement Portal is a strategic digital product leader responsible for driving the development and continuous evolution of Rolls-Royce Power Systems’ customer and partner engagement platform. This role owns the product vision, backlog, and release planning, translating business goals into user stories and actionable product iterations that deliver a superior digital experience for customers and partners globally. Working at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and user experience, the Product Owner plays a pivotal role in enabling self-service capabilities, accelerating platform adoption, and supporting RRPS’s digital growth agenda.

What you will be doing

• Own the product vision and roadmap, define and maintain a clear product vision, manage the program backlog, and lead release planning to ensure the engagement platform serves as a strategic digital enabler for business growth targets.
• Drive backlog execution, groom the product backlog into well-defined user stories and product iterations, prioritizing features that enhance user experience, platform adoption, and alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration, maintain clear communication with business stakeholders and work with multi-disciplinary development teams to ensure cohesive platform implementation and sustained alignment on priorities.
• Continuously improve platform performance, assess engagement metrics and user feedback, implement UX improvements, and promote user-centric design principles to ensure the platform consistently meets the evolving needs of customers and partners.
• Enable business growth, leverage the platform to enhance self-service capabilities and operational efficiency, supporting RRPS’s broader digital and commercial growth initiatives.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%, sometimes on short notice.

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology with 4+ years of experience in product management with a focus on digital platforms and user experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology with 2+ years of experience in product management with a focus on digital platforms and user experience, OR
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology, OR
• PhD in Business Administration or Information Technology, OR
• 6+ years of experience in digital product management with a focus on web or mobile platforms in lieu of a degree

Preferred Requirements:

• Proven track record as a digital product owner for web and/or mobile applications, with hands-on experience managing the full development lifecycle using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies, including budget oversight and on-time delivery.
• Strong experience enhancing user experience and driving platform adoption, with a deep understanding of digital technologies, user-centric design principles, and platform development processes.
• Demonstrated ability to align platform features with strategic business objectives, engage stakeholders effectively at all levels, and lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams toward cohesive platform outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively; proficiency in German (verbal and written) is a meaningful advantage given global team interactions.
