ProSidian Seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer in CONUS/OCONUS - Olympia, WA and Tumwater, WA to support an engagement for an Agency dedicated to the safety, health and security of 2.5 million workers and helping employers meet safety and health standards and the Agency also inspects workplaces when alerted to hazards. As administrators of the state’s workers’ compensation system, The Washington State Department Of Labor And Industries is similar to a large insurance company, providing medical and limited wage-replacement coverage to workers who suffer job-related injuries and illness. The Agency’s rules and enforcement programs help ensure workers are paid what they are owed, that children’s and teens’ work hours limited, and consumers are protected from unsound building practices. The ProSidian Team works to provide expert level Information Technology (IT) Quality Assurance (QA) consulting services supporting a full cross-agency “business transformation” initiatives intended to achieve the mission of keeping citizens in the state safe and working. The business transformation (BT) calls for modernizing the agency’s extensive technology infrastructure and corresponding business processes over several years. The client is starting with people and processes - ensuring the best way to do business and collectively understand business priorities and customers’ expectations. Then, they will invest in new technology to support those process improvements and achieve stated goals and objectives.

Navigating the agency’s technology maze is challenging for its employees. It complicates the training process and makes it difficult for them to deliver high-quality, effective service to their customers. Many applications are independent and don’t communicate information between each other. Over the next several years, L&I will modernize technology across the Dept., which will take place in phases. Key focus areas shall be The current workers’ compensation system; L&I’s Insurance System (LINIIS) is an application comprised of many sub- systems and used to process and manage workers’ compensation claims; Organized Information Online (ORION) is an integrated document management (IDM) and business process management (BPM) workflow application where the work is managed; Early Claims Solutions (ECS) is an application used by both claims and employer services staff; Independent Medical Examination (IME) application; Medical Information Payment System (MIPS); Benefit Payment System (BPS), and Pension Payment System (PPS); and VOC-LINK is an application for private vocational rehabilitation providers., Senior Software Test Engineer Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and Leads small work teams or phases of complex projects, implements designs and functional specifications and negotiates with and influences other work teams in solutions development. Determines and delegates tasks appropriately. Manages multiple and competing priorities and tasks within work team. Completes complex tasks with minimal guidance.
