Job description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring.
  • Develop, deploy, and operate services on AWS using managed services and infrastructure best practices.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with unit and integration tests.
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver features.
  • Implement security, logging, and observability standards.

Requirements

Our client seeks a Backend Engineer with 1 to 4 years of experience to develop and maintain server-side applications and services. The role requires proficiency in Java, Spring, and AWS. The engineer will build scalable APIs, integrate services, and support deployment and monitoring in cloud environments while adhering to best practices for code quality and security.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance., * 1 to 4 years of professional backend development with Java.

  • Hands-on experience with Spring or Spring Boot.
  • Experience deploying and operating workloads on AWS.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with API design, versioning, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and source control workflows.
