Job description

Hiring: Senior UNIX System Administrator (Linux / AIX / Solaris) Location: Madrid and Málaga, Spain Work Model: Hybrid, 1 day per week onsite Language Requirement: English (B2+) We are looking for a Senior UNIX System Administrator to join an international infrastructure team responsible for managing and supporting Linux, AIX, and Solaris environments.This role requires a proactive professional who can work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate effectively with global teams while meeting established SLAs.Key Responsibilities: Manage and support UNIX environments, including Linux, AIX, and Solaris Perform system administration, monitoring, and infrastructure health checks Handle incidents, problems, changes, and service requests Support cluster operations and daily infrastructure activities Monitor and maintain AIX environments, including legacy systems Implement parameter changes and ensure system stability Collaborate with international teams in English Required Skills: UNIX/Linux system administration experience Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Experience troubleshooting Linux operating systems and hardware issues Knowledge of virtualized environments Familiarity with VMware and SAN technologies Experience with IBM Power Systems infrastructure Understanding of DNS, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP protocols Strong problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with legacy AIX environments RHCE, RHCT, LPIC, or other Linux certifications Experience working in enterprise or multinational environments If you have a strong UNIX/Linux administration background and are looking to work in a global enterprise environment, I would be happy to connect and discuss this opportunity.
